Some dogs fall apart in a busy salon
A grooming salon is loud by design: dryers running, other dogs barking from the kennels, a stranger reaching for the leash. Reactive dogs and anxious dogs carry all of that into the appointment, and a groom done on a frightened dog is a rushed groom for everyone involved. The studio on Francis Street runs a calm room, but for some dogs even calm is too much.
The mobile vans exist for those dogs. Your dog is groomed by one groomer with no other dog in the room, so there is nothing to react to. One Google reviewer, whose little guy absolutely LOVES people but absolutely HATES other dogs, called the service “a blessing to us and him.”
One groomer, one dog, a van at the curb
You send a mobile request, which asks for a photo of your dog, and the van arrives at your home on a weekday. Mobile appointments run Monday to Friday, depending on your location. Inside, your groomer works through a Bath, a Bath Plus+ or a Full Groom, the same three appointment types the studio offers, with no cage time and no drop-off or pick-up. The appointment is quiet and faster because it is one dog from start to finish.
Two vans cover two territories. The Longmont van works Longmont, Mead, Berthoud, parts of north and east Boulder, Firestone and Frederick. The Loveland van runs from Longmont to north Loveland, Hwy 392 south, and parts of the I-25 corridor. Kayla Rivas is the Loveland mobile groomer, and Sophia McPherson grooms mobile on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The limits, stated up front
The vans take dogs up to about 65 lbs, which is why the price grid below stops at the 40-65 lb band. Dogs need to be on a regular grooming schedule. If your dog is over the weight limit, the Longmont studio takes every size up to 110 lbs, and charges by the hour beyond that.
Level parking is preferred, so your groomer has a flat place to set up at your home. The mobile client list is currently open. Text the Longmont van at 720-899-8586, the Loveland van at 970-909-8789, or email barkmebeautifulmobile@gmail.com with your town and your dog's breed and size, and the right van answers.
